PAAMA AWARDS

The Pan-African Ahmadiyya Muslim Association UK has two special merit awards which it confers annually, namely the Abdul Wahab Adam Award and the Abdur Rahim Nayyar Award. The Abdul Wahab Adam Award recognises missionaries of African provenance who have served the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community outstandingly while the Abdur Rahim Nayyar Award is awarded to missionaries of non-African origin who have served the Community in Africa with distinction and credit.

As the names imply, the Abdul Wahab Adam Award is named after the late Maulana Abdul Wahab Bin Adam of Ghana who served the Jamaat with commendation as the Amir & Missionary In-Charge of Ghana for nearly 40 years and the Abdur Rahim Nayyar Award is named after Hadhrat Abdur Rahim Nayyar (ra), the pioneer missionary of the Community to Africa.

It is our hope and prayer that these merit awards will encourage and inspire generations of African and non-African missionaries to follow in the illustrious footsteps of these two great personalities in whose honour and memory the awards are consecrated.
