My Dear Members of PAAMA!
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah.
May the Lord of mankind open unto you the gates of His Mercy and may He so ordain that you are always accompanied by the supplication of His angels. Ameen.
The 20th of February is recognised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community worldwide as Musleh Maud Day to commemorate the revelation and fulfilment of the grand prophecy of the birth of the ‘Promised Reformer’.
The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) often indulged spiritual exercises of prayers and meditation in seclusion to gain nearness to Allah. It was during one such retreat in Hoshiarpur in early 1886 that he received revelation from Allah which contained a grand prophecy that he will be blessed with an extraordinarily pious and righteous son as the Musleh Maud (the Promised Reformer).  When the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) made this announcement on 20th February 1886, he declared in the words of the prophecy that the promised son, amongst many other attributes, will embody ‘messianic qualities’, ‘he will be extremely intelligent and understanding’, ‘he will be filled with secular and spiritual knowledge’, ‘his advent will be greatly blessed’, ‘he will grow rapidly in stature,’ ‘his fame will spread to the ends of the earth’ and ‘people will be blessed through him.’
105px-Khalifatul_Masih_IIThis grand prophecy was fulfilled on 12th January 1889, when the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) was blessed with a son, whom he named Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad (may Allah be pleased with him). He would grow up to be the exceptionally hallowed and virtuous personage foretold by the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) and became known as Hadhrat Musleh Maud. His extreme intelligence and astounding mastery of spiritual and secular subjects ranging from theology, politics, economics, natural and health science, social and many more issues is manifested in his exceptionally articulate literature and captivating discourses which will continue to be some of the most edifying works of our era.
Hadhrat Musleh Maud (may Allah be pleased with him) ardently lived up to the standard of his title as the Promised Reformer through the establishment of several organisational initiatives and schemes that extended Ahmadiyyat, the true Islam, to the remotest places worldwide. Through his visionary leadership, he imparted the teachings of Islam in all spheres of activity in the Community through the formation of the auxiliary associations that consolidate the structure of the Community worldwide, the establishment of institutions for the training of missionaries, the initiation of special schemes to propagate the message of true Islam, the launch of ‘Al Fazl’ newspaper and many more.
I wish to remind my dear and fellow members of PAAMA that this day is not a celebration of the birth of Hadhrat Musleh Maud (may Allah be pleased with him) but rather the fulfilment of the grand prophecy as one of the many signs of the truth of Promised Messiah, Imam Mahdi and Holy Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (peace be upon him). As always reiterated by Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih V (may Allah help him with manifest support), this day should be a constant reminder to every Ahmadi Muslim to keep this legacy alive by being ‘Musliheen’ (Reformers) in our own spheres through our words and deeds.  May Allah so ordain and bless you all profoundly. Ameen.
Wassalam.
Yours humbly,
Tommy Kallon.
